Overview:
Many ACORD forms support importing form data from other forms that have been previously saved to the policy. This allows the user to easily copy information previously entered to another form preventing double work.
Before You Begin:
In the example below, an ACORD 126 has already been created and the limits entered. This document outlines the process of importing that data into an ACORD 25 Certificate of Insurance.
Process:
- Pictured below is a section of the ACORD 126 that has been completed.
- Create a new ACORD 25 Certificate. Click here for more details.
- Once the Certificate has been saved, select Other -> Import Form Data.
- Select the ACORD 126 that has been previously saved to the policy.
- The Coverages and Limits portion of the ACORD 126 Commercial General Liability Section are now displayed on the ACORD 25 Certificate.

Note: This process can be repeated for the other Limit sections of the certificate. The amount of detail/limits that Import, is dependent on the type of Form you select to Import, and whether those fields on the Form are mapped to the fields on the Certificate.
